Things are going great here in Rio Verde. This week was a crazy week but we had a lot of fun with it. Wednesday we went to the temple and I’ve gotta say that I’m a lot more grateful to live close to the temple now. It was a great opportunity to go there and just think for a while. Feel the spirit and the calmness.
But yeah the work goes well here. There are lots of people listening but I feel that more of our focus right now should be on helping the ward out. We had a few less active members in church this week so it was awesome to see them there. Thursday we had the zone conference. It was a really uplifting meeting and we were all able to learn a lot. Friday I got to head up to Centro Guadalajara and sign my visa stuff. It was awesome because I got to see almost all of the guys from my MTC district. It was a really great day and it kind of turned out really funny. While we were signing visas they had this huge city wide disaster drill thing so we all had to walk out of the building to some place. All of the foreign people that didn’t speak Spanish and that couldn’t understand that it was a drill were freaked out because they thought that it was for real and that some crazy stuff was happening. Some American guy ran up to one of the Elders in the group and asked him what the heck was going on and the Elder by habit answered him in Spanish. The guy just kind of sat there for a minute with a blank stare on his face then was like, in English please. Then the Elder realized he answered in Spanish and answered in English. It was funny because it happens fairly often. I guess that’s what happens when you think in Spanish.
