Week Twenty

Elder Clifford's zone, picture taken Friday, December 19th.

So this week was a bit different but goodish. Most of our investigators are progressing really well. We can’t quite get them to go to church yet but we're working on it. We should see some baptisms in January so get excited for that. But yeah all is well here in Mexico.

This week I did a lot of study on the characteristics of Christ in chapter 6 of pme. It’s a really great chapter and you should check them out because they help a ton. I did a lot of focus on obedience because obedience is one of the most important things we can have as a missionary or member of the church. When we are obedient we’ll have the spirit and we’ll be able to more fully follow his promptings and we’ll be blessed for our obedience in other ways as well. But yeah just a small thought to keep in mind.

Funny story of the week.... hmmmm, not sure if things are just boring here or in just so used to all the weird stuff that it seems normal by now. But let me think for a second…… The other day my comp asked if we ever get to ride buses because he was sick of all the walking we do every day. I laughed and told him that the first time he took the bus that he would love walking more than anything else. He still wanted to take the bus so we did. What happened next is a perfect picture of my last 14 weeks here. We flag down a bus and run to the front to get on. Nope, there’s people packed into the door. Run to the back and get on. I go up one step and my comp is on the last step. Bus driver leaves the doors open and we drive for a few minutes. After about 2 minutes my comp says okay lets walk and we yell at the guy to stop and jump off. Needless to say he felt my pain. I would take pictures of this stuff but yeah probably not.

Merry Christmas have a good week.
